Chiropractors train to treat the whole patient

The American Chiropractic Association notes that chiropractic students spend a significant portion of their curriculum studying clinical subjects related to evaluating and caring for patients — ranging from anatomy to rehabilitation — that’s comparable to medical physicians who provide primary care. Usually following several years of undergraduate schooling, chiropractors complete a doctor of chiropractic degree that typically takes four to five years. Though they can’t prescribe medicine or perform surgery, DCs education allows them to diagnose a full range of health problems.
